This fabric is 1-thread cotton and not as opaque as the styles made of 2-thread cotton (article number beginning with '2' such as 215): please note that it might be considered a little see-through in color 01 white or other light colors. Due to the traditional manufacturing process, this 1-thread fabric sometimes shows so-called 'calender creases' in white and natural colors. This uneven appearance is a characteristic feature. These creases vary in appearance and may last permanently.

About
Merz
Merz b. Schwanen is a Berlin-based clothing brand rooted in heritage, quality, and sustainability. With origins dating back to 1911, the brand was revived by designers Gitta and Peter Plotnicki, who discovered century-old loopwheel machines in Albstadt, Germany—remnants of the region's once-thriving textile industry. Known for blending timeless craftsmanship with modern sensibilities, Merz b. Schwanen’s collections emphasize simplicity, organic materials, and ethical production. Partnering with family-run manufacturers in Germany and Portugal, the brand remains committed to honoring the past while shaping a conscious future.
